Overview

DMI Technologies is seeking a Healthcare Technician to join our growing team. This role is responsible for installing medical hardware in healthcare facilities, as well as servicing the affiliated software such as Nurse Call, Emergency Call, Mobility, and Unite Middleware Systems. This role requires experience running/pulling cable and fiber, as well as desktop and server knowledge. This is a field role in a construction type environment and will require on-call/after-hours work, as well as some travel.

 

Responsibilities

Typical Responsibilities

  • Install medical hardware and service the affiliated software such as Nurse Call, Emergency Call, Mobility, and Unite Middleware Systems.
  • Run/pull Cat5, Cat6, and Cat7 cable.
  • Perform fiber optic cable installation and terminations of all types.
  • Investigate and isolate hardware and software problems.
  • Knowledge of networking, operating systems, and all nurse call products at the administrator level.
  • Follow defined process and procedures for documenting customer support issues.
  • Perform customer service duties such as answering, routing, and following up on inbound communications for the support team.
  • Perform on-call and after-hours coverage.
  • Position will require 15% travel, including overnight.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with nurse call, middleware, telecommunications, or wireless technology preferred.
  • Experience in customer support role utilizing phone, e-mail, and web-based systems.
  • Experience with server hardware and Microsoft Windows Server operating systems.
  • Experience with telecommunications or WLAN, desktop operating systems, and basic TCP/IP Networking
  • Experience with network cabling and fiber connections.
  • Basic telephony knowledge
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communications.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail oriented, highly responsive, and customer focused.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
